Behind the Curtain with Minnesota Opera's Elektra

This special program is presented by the Minnesota Opera in partnership with the Germanic-American Institute and the Wagner Society. Moderated by MPR, it will feature a conversation with Dale Johnson and Maestro Elias Grandy, and a performance of Elektra’s monologue by Alexandra Loutsion. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour and appetizers catered by German restaurant Black Forest Inn.
After a break, a bonus presentation by Daniel Freeman of the Wagner Society will highlight the artistic connection between Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss. Dessert and coffee will be served.
Participants will have the opportunity to buy discounted tickets for the opera, which is on stage at the Ordway Center for Performing Arts October 5–13.

6:30 PM – Musical performance by Alexandra Loutsion
