Saturday and Sunday, December 7–8, 2018, 11 AM–4 PM
This two-day event features authentic food and drink, local vendors selling gifts and handmade goods, and fun activities for all ages. Sip Glühwein (hot mulled wine) or a beer in front of the fire pit. Savor German food including bratwurst, soups, pretzels, and specialty cakes.
The Modelleisenbahngruppe (Model Train Group) will be showing German model trains in action, with a hands-on train for kids.
Saturday, the Minnesänger choir will sing German holiday favorites in the ballroom from noon to 12:30.
Sunday, children can see St. Nikolaus in the ballroom (from noon to 3 p.m.) or visit the Kinderstube German Immersion Preschool St. Paul classroom for kids' crafts and to learn more about GAI's language immersion program (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
The exhibit "First Encounters—Menschen begegnen sich" will be on display in the Haus.
