This series will provide educational experiences focusing on Germany’s approach and success in areas including culture and society, Climate Smart municipalities, sustainable building practices, and earth friendly initiatives.

Kaffeestube Talk: Coming to Amerika 
This Kaffeestube presentation is year two of a collaboration with University of St. Thomas students and GAI members. Hear from first generation German immigrants—their challenges and triumphs as they assimilated into American culture and became U.S. citizens—and from the students who interviewed them and recorded their stories. Free

Building a Sustainable Home
Melissa Rappaport Schifman, author of Building a Sustainable Home: Practical Green Design Choices for Your Health, Wealth and Soul, will talk about building her own sustainable home and Kathryn and Chris Johnson, along with builder and certified Passive House consultant Ryan Stegora, will share their experience building a certified Passive House. Includes the opportunity to tour Sweet Tree Passive House in Minnetonka on March 16. Free

Sweet Tree Passive House Tour in Minnetonka
Learn about the advantages of owning a passive house besides no energy bills. Hosted by owner Kathryn and Chris Johnson. Free
