Lederhosenlauf 5kSaturday, June 9 at 8 a.m.

The Germanic-American Institute in partnership with Charities Challenge is kicking off Deutsche Tage with the Lederhosenlauf 5K,  a fun run with a Germanic flair. Prizes for best individual and team costumes. Free beer and brat after the run. Prefer to walk? We call it a Gesundheitsspaziergang and it’s good for you! Kids can join the fun with their own ¼ mile run. 

Course
Begin and end at the Germanic-American Institute on Summit Avenue in St. Paul. Pro-timed USATF certified course in the beautiful St. Paul Cathedral/Summit Avenue neighborhood. Results by Youth, Open, and Masters USATF divisions.

Race day schedule
6:45–7:55 a.m.  Race day registration
8 a.m.  Run and walk line-up
8:10 a.m.  Run and walk begins
9:15 a.m.  Kids ¼ mile fun run begins 

Fees and registration
By May 31, 2018: $38 race fee + $3 sign-up fee
June 1–7: $42 race fee + $3 sign-up fee
Day of race, June 9: $50

Fahrradtour 27kSaturday, June 9 at 9:30 a.m.

Fahrradtour is German for bicycle ride and we have a gorgeous route planned for this leisurely tour. The ride is a 27k (17 mile) guided route on open roads, beginning and ending at the Germanic-American Institute. After the Fahrradtour, enjoy a free beer or other beverage!

PLEASE NOTE: All riders are required to wear a helmet for the duration of the ride. Riders will also need to complete a waiver prior to the ride, so please arrive with enough time  to do so.
