Herzlich Willkommen beim Germanic-American Institute!

Welcome to the Germanic-American Institute. We are a Minnesota non-profit whose mission is to foster appreciation and understanding of the culture, language, arts, and ongoing history of the German speaking peoples through public educational and cultural programs.

The GAI is a co-founder and authorizer of the Twin Cities German Immersion School, a public charter located in St.Paul, serving children in kindergarten through 8th grade.

Architecture & History Tour: Mount Zion Temple

Join us for a tour exploring the architecture and history of Mount Zion Temple, an iconic building in German, Jewish, and Minnesotan history. Coffee and treats will also be provided.

One week Mon - Fri; June 19-23 or Aug. 21-25
9:00am - noon

This intensive week-long program is for students who want to sharpen and improve their German skills over the summer. This class is designed for students who have completed German 3 or equivalent. 

The course will focus on grammar, vocabulary and speaking skills - topics will include 'Sport & Spass'; 'Feiern & Ferien'; 'Familie & Geschwister' and more.
