| 3) Diploma from Association Montessori Internationale; OR preprimary credential, primary diploma, or provisional certification from the American Montessori Society | 3) 520 hours as an aide or student intern AND 3 quarter credits in child-care related field* |
| 4) Minnesota technical institute certificate as a Child Development Assistant | 4) 520 hours as an aide or student intern AND (no additional education requirement) |
| 5) Two years full-time postsecondary education from a college or university | 5) 1,040 hours as an aide or student intern AND 9 quarter credits in child-care related field* |
